These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the SectorBeat website and apps (the “Platform”). By using the Platform or creating an account, you accept these Terms.

1. Parties

The Platform is operated by [data controller's full name / company name] (“SectorBeat”, “we”). Anyone who visits the Platform or creates an account is referred to as a “user” in these Terms.

2. Scope of the service

The Platform provides content such as racing news, race calendars, results, standings and driver and team profiles free of charge. We may change the content and features of the service without prior notice.

Unofficial: SectorBeat is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Formula 1, the FIA, the teams or related brands. The trademarks mentioned belong to their owners and are referred to for news reporting only.

3. Membership

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for the information you provide being accurate and up to date; your account is activated by email verification.
  • You must not share your password with anyone; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.
  • You can permanently delete your account at any time on the My Profile page.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

  • use it in breach of the law, public order, morality or the rights of others,
  • threaten the Platform’s security, probe for vulnerabilities or attempt unauthorised access,
  • collect content or data by automated means such as bots or scrapers, or overload the Platform,
  • create an account on behalf of someone else or with false information, or transfer your account,
  • upload a profile photo that belongs to someone else, is protected by copyright (e.g. driver or race photos), is obscene, violent or insulting, or violates the personal rights of others (such photos may be removed without notice),
  • copy, distribute or commercially use Platform content without permission.

5. Content and accuracy

  • Articles are written originally with AI assistance from information gathered from multiple sources, published after editor approval and presented with links to their sources.
  • Race data comes from third-party open data sources (Jolpica F1 and OpenF1 — CC BY-NC-SA 4.0; Wikipedia for biographies — CC BY-SA 4.0) and is credited on the relevant pages.
  • Despite our care, content may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Information is provided “as is”, does not replace official results and should not be the sole basis for decisions such as betting.
  • If you spot an error, please report it to [contact email address].

6. Intellectual property

The Platform’s design, logo, software and original texts belong to SectorBeat and may only be viewed for personal, non-commercial purposes. AI-generated images are labelled “AI illustration”; photos owned by others are used only when we have the right to, with the source credited, and remain the property of their owners. Embedded videos and third-party data are subject to their owners’ rights and licences.

7. Ads and external links

The Platform may show ads and partner content labelled “Ad”. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites reached through external links in ads or news sources.

8. Suspension and termination

If these Terms are breached, we may suspend your account temporarily or permanently, end your open sessions or close your account. When your account is deleted, your data is deleted or anonymised as described in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).

9. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided free of charge. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Our liability for intent and gross negligence is reserved.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current text is published on this page with its effective date; we will let you know about significant changes by email or on the Platform and ask for your consent again where necessary.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. [competent courts and enforcement offices] have jurisdiction over disputes; the right of users acting as consumers to apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts is reserved.
