Privacy Policy

In short

• We only collect what we need to provide the service: your name, email and preferences.
• We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.
• We do not use third-party analytics or ad-tracking cookies.
• We do not record which articles you read per person; read counts are anonymous.
• You can download your data or permanently delete your account at any time.

When you visit without an account

We keep no record that identifies you. Your theme and language preferences are stored only on your own device. Article reads, ad impressions and clicks are anonymous totals. To prevent misuse, your IP address is processed briefly in server memory and is not stored.

When you have an account

We store your name, email, an irreversible hash of your password and your preferences (language, favourite driver and team, profile icon colour). A profile photo is optional: if you upload one, it is resized in your browser and embedded details such as location are removed; you can remove it at any time. To keep your account secure, activity such as sign-in, sign-out and password changes is recorded for 12 months.

While you are signed in and a Platform tab is open, your browser sends an “online” signal once a minute. This only updates your last seen time and the approximate time you spent on the Platform that day; the page you are on is not recorded.

Security measures

• Passwords are stored irreversibly (salted hash); nobody, including us, can see your password.
• IP addresses are not stored in raw form; only an irreversible keyed hash is kept.
• The session cookie is “HttpOnly” and cannot be read by scripts on the page.
• Repeated failed sign-in attempts are limited automatically.
• Only authorised staff can access the admin panel, and admin actions are logged.
• In production, all connections are encrypted with HTTPS.

AI and content

Our articles are written originally with AI assistance from information gathered from multiple sources and are published after editor approval. No personal data is sent to the AI service. Cover images are AI-generated and labelled “AI illustration”; real people’s faces are not used.

Ads and partners

Ads and partner content are shown with an “Ad” label. We only keep total impressions and clicks for ads; nothing that identifies you is shared with advertisers. When you follow an ad to another site, that site’s own privacy rules apply.

Embedded content

Third-party content such as videos (e.g. YouTube) may be embedded in pages. When you play it, the provider may use its own cookies, and its privacy policy applies.

Age limit

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We close the accounts of users we learn are younger. Reading articles without an account is open to everyone.
