Norris hopeful fuel issue solved for Singapore GP

Lando Norris says McLaren aims to fix his fuel system problem for the Singapore Grand Prix.

Lando Norris admitted that McLaren underperformed over the last two race weekends and that the team needs to improve. He is hopeful the issue will be resolved in Singapore.

Norris said the fuel‑system problem has cost him a lot in recent races and has hurt his performance, but he believes it can be fixed for the Singapore Grand Prix.

McLaren has introduced several peripheral changes to Norris' Mercedes power unit to eliminate the persistent fuel‑system fault. The team noted that part of the deficit seen in Baku was due to intrinsic car weaknesses and how the Mercedes unit was run.
