Kimi Antonelli Leads Mercedes in FP3 at Sepang
Andrea Kimi Antonelli topped FP3 at Sepang, restoring Mercedes' pace after a tough Friday.
Mercedes' young driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli set the quickest lap in Free Practice 3 at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, held at Sepang. It marked the first time the team topped the session this weekend.
The result came after a difficult Friday for the championship‑leading Silver Arrows. Mercedes recorded a P2 and P5 in FP1 and a P7 and P8 in FP2 before delivering a stronger package in the final practice.
Antonelli’s time was followed by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in second, setting up a Mercedes‑Red Bull showdown for pole position.
